Import Contacts

You can migrate contacts from outlook or any other program if they are in a basic CSV format (comma delimited). Here is a test file that shows a basic format. The program will accept more elaborate exports (more fields).

 

 

Select the file to upload:

 

Next change any of the field targets as required. For instance in the test file I retargetted "Name" to the new Contacts title of "Display Name":

Click Next and the contacts should migrate:

How to export Contacts from Outlook

Select all the contacts you wish to export. Then File > Export > Address Book

 

Next choose the file name, location and format you wish to use to Export. CSV seems to work well.

 

Then select only those columns you want to migrate:

Pressing Finish will generate the file you need to use to update SmarterMail
